7 of 7 people found the following review helpful.This is by far the best infant seat available!! We bought this for our first child and used it again with our second. The first thing, it is a good STURDY carrier. It is heavier than others but only by a little and in my opinion that's better anyway. The handle is awesome and makes for much easier carrying. The base was very easy to install and strap down tightly. The carrier snaps in place nicely and is easy to release. The recline on the base is very helpful and easy to use even while the carrier is strapped in with a child. Some seats that are inverted may need to have a towel or blanket placed under the base to help level it out when using with a newborn. But once our son was older we didn't have a problem. The cover comes off very easily and washed up nicely. The material is very nice, soft, and warm. Even spot cleaning was no problem and spills would wipe up nicely. We had to purchase a new car seat due to an accident and the nylon covering on that one doesn't seem as comfortable or nice and cozy. One draw back is that the straps do tangle easily and seem to on a daily basis. A pain but something to deal with.Now down to the nuts and bolts of it -- this carrier no doubt helped save my son's life!! We were recently in a terrible vehicle accident which totalled my husband's F-150. The impact of the collision was at the door where my son was strapped. He escaped the collision virtually unharmed. I thank God every day for being with us during that crash but I know it was also due to having our son strapped in to this seat. We had to purchase another seat very quickly and only had a few options to choose from otherwise we would have definetely purchased another Baby Trend. I tell every one of my pregnant friends about this seat. Even after the accident the seat was in good shape with no signs of damage.
4 of 5 people found the following review helpful.This is an excellent infant car seat. It stays put, it's got great safety features and the material makes baby super comfortable. I wish they made them for adults actually. It fits nicely in a car seat ready stroller. It's a nice color. All around a great product. It's even easy to take apart to clean! We never had a problem with it and used it constantly for well over a year until our son grew out of it. Otherwise we'd have kept him in it even longer! I highly recommend this product!
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.We have an older version of this car seat that expired, and after looking at other infant seats I went back to Baby Trend.It was the cheapest infant seat at the store I was shopping in, which was preferable, but it was the features that made me choose it. There's only one shoulder strap setting with a dial harness adjuster in the back. So you never have to re-thread the shoulder straps, and it can be adjusted while the child is in the seat. Also the shoulder straps can be lengthened and shortened from the front, while the child is sitting in it. It doesn't get any easier than that! All the other car seats I've owned or used weren't this convenient. I'd have to remove those other car seat from the base and adjust the straps in the back to compensate for a bulky jacket or thin summer clothes.Another feature I liked was the LATCH storage in the base. My older car doesn't have the LATCH hooks. The storage compartment provides a place for the clips to be safely tucked away instead of hanging loose in the backseat of my car.The colors are gender neutral and the lack of primp and flowery decoration keeps the price low.I'd recommend this car seat to anyone.
