The first one is still in good condition, but it expired before our third child outgrew it (did you know that carseats have expiration dates?) There have been some nice design changes in the last 5 plus years and some changes that I do not love. Here are the pros and cons as I see them.Pros::: It is the lightest infant car seat for infants 4 to 35 lbs. That being said, it is still heavy when you have a growing child in it :):: Since it is recommended that kids stay facing backwards in the car until they are 2 now, it is nice that kids can stay in this carseat until they are 35 lbs (because to me an infant carseat facing backwards takes up less room in the car than a toddler carseat facing backwards).:: The fabric is nice and the outer shell is easily removable, so it can be thrown in the washing machine to clean.:: It has four slots so you can to adjust the strap height depending on your child's size (our previous model only had 3).:: The base is easy to install.:: It comes with an infant insert which is great for small babies.Cons:: The shade crinkles (makes noise) when you move it. This is not ideal when you have a sleeping baby.:: The shade is hard to open and close, especially when you have the handle up because they rub against each other.:: While it is said to fit with Graco Click Connect strollers, it does not fit securely into the (older) universal stroller frame (like our first Graco did). I guess I would just recommend that if you are not going to buy a Graco stroller, that you do good research to make sure this carseat is compatible with your stroller. With baby products, I have found that there is no perfect carseat, stroller etc because there are varying features and no product does it all. We have several Graco products and I am impressed with the quality and durability. I recommend this carseat despite the minor annoyances I found with it.

Car seats twenty years ago didn't offer much in the way of extras and at that time infant seats were given to new parents at the hospital. When we began looking for a car seat for our expected bundle of joy we decided to purchase Graco SnugRide Classic Connect Infant Car Seat, Little Hoot. As this was the only seat we were using at the time and had little experience with what car seats now offer we didn't realize how much we were missing until we received this seat for review. The Graco SnugRide Classic Connect Infant Car Seat, Little Hoot only accommodates a baby up to 22 pounds, the harness straps have to be adjusted manually(UGH!) each time we put baby into the seat, and the reclining feature is very difficult to reach and use in the rear facing position. We fell in love with this car seat immediately. The color is nice for our little boy but the car seat fabric is kinda rough so we use a Kiddopotamus Snuzzler Complete Head and Body Support, Ivory Terry. The harness straps are released with the pull of a lever located in the seat and tightened with a pull of a strap. Had I known what a difference this would have made in ease of use we would have purchased our first seat with this feature. I now know it is a must have for infant car seats. The Graco SnugRide Click Connect 35 was a breeze to install in our vehicle. The installation meter on the base of the car seat is easy to read and with just a quick glance you can see if the seat is properly installed and in the correct position or if adjustments need to be made. The reclining mechanism is controlled with a knob on the front of the base and can be reached and turned easily.Removing and putting the seat into the base is very easy, with or without baby inside, and it is lighter in weight than our original seat. The only thing we find we don't like about this seat is the shade. It doesn't cover our little ones face as much as the Graco SnugRide Classic Connect Infant Car Seat, Little Hoot and is difficult to open if the handle is in the carry position.Of the two car seats we prefer this one. It does cost more than the Graco SnugRide Classic Connect Infant Car Seat, Little Hoot but it is worth it in my opinion to have the extras offered with this seat.
